The Gren hails from rural Missouri and now makes his home in the suburbs of St. Louis. He lost his way from music for a few years after his kids were born, but is now rekindling his passion with the Audio Bonsai project. By day he owns and operates Floyd Glass & Window (where he subjects his co-owners and employees to more “strange” music than they are comfortable with). By night he is the father of two amazing kids, husband to a wife he loves very much and is often seen with headphones on while he should be doing other things.

[Jesse: I have hair again now. Wife and daughter made me grow it back.] Jesse hasn’t written anything yet. He is busy. Very busy. [Jesse: Tortuously busy.]So, until he gets around to speaking for himself I’ll just say that Jesse huddles from the cold in the frozen tundra of the Twin Cities. By day he taps on keyboards and makes programs do things for something in the medical field (I honestly don’t catch many of the details…just put on my previously mentioned headphones) [Jesse: Medical no more, population data now at popdata.org. It’s all very sciency.]
After he’s done pretending to work, my wife and his wife chat on the phone about all the time their husbands waste playing with their web site while Jesse and I waste time playing with our website and drink beer together via video conference. There is also a beautiful daughter in the mix somewhere.
Jesse also loves Minnesota soccer and is a (is it founding member, Jesse?) [Jesse: long time member, former board of directors.] of the Dark Clouds. He writes cleverly cruel lyrics that he chants at the opposing team [Jesse: Yelling at grown men playing a game for a living makes life worth living.] while beating a drum [Jesse: well, someone beats a drum, not me] and waving a scarf. [Jesse: Sometimes I get carried away and wave my daughter around.] It’s all very bizarre. [Jesse: European… sophisticated… no you’re right, it’s weird, but FUN! And there is amazing beer.]
